Welcome to the Black Caucus of the Nebraska Democratic Party, we are a statewide grassroots organization and have been the official black constituency arm of the Nebraska Democratic Party since 2006.  Full membership is open to anyone who is a registered democrat and self identifies as being of African descent.  Non-voting/allied membership is open to any registered democrat. We are dedicated to promoting social and economic justice through our support and enlistment into the political process - nationally and locally - of African-Americans as well as non-African-Americans who, like us, are sensitive and responsive to the values and priorities of our constituency. Our priorities include supporting our families, protecting our country and the safeguarding of human dignity. We support our President, Barack Obama and his agenda.  We reject out-of-hand, the hate-speech which has taken the place of rational discourse and instead have chosen to strive toward the advancement of the highest principles of the Democratic Party as outlined in the state platform of the Nebraska Democratic Party. We endeavor to foster and maintain truly democratic procedures and to support Democratic candidates of integrity, ability, and conviction for public office and party positions.
